![]() But messing around with the ses.kfs file I found that you can configure your companions slots however you please without apparently screwing up anything. Well, I don't think the devs will change this as it is minor compared to the many other more serious issues. I mean, wouldn't it be more interesting if the companions provided a totally different set of items rather than mirror the Hero/Villain? Why does the demoness, whose abilities give her tons of extra leadership need 4 extra regalia slots? Wouldn't it be more interesting if one companion were attack oriented (slot wise), the other defense and the third intellect? ![]() When I saw that we would have 3 companions in DS I was very pleased - until I realised the choice of item slots you would have. ![]() In WotN there was no companion at all and that was a let down imo. If you found 3 good shields or good orc units you would choose the orc companion, etc. For instance, if you found excellent spells as a warrior in Crossworlds you could choose the elf companion to boost your intellect / mana and his magic friendly item slots. One of the things I like the most about the first 2 KBs (The Legend and AP/Crossworlds) was the ability to change wives and companions so you could better make use the items/spells available in a certain game.
